Are You Ready For The  Winter Season Of 2023?

With the holiday season over, it’s time to turn our attention to winter. Here’s some helpful tips to prepare for the cold wintery months ahead.

Order Fuel Ahead of Time this Winter

With a fuel source such as heating oil or propane, it’s difficult to know
just how much of an impact the economy, and the state of the world will have on
fuel supply and prices. An easy way to have peace of mind is to get your fuel
orders in well-ahead of running low. Save a little money here and there and set
it aside for fuel expenses. If you’re a will-call customer, prices can change
quickly and demand can rise rapidly as the season gets colder. Don’t wait
to order fuel.

Check Your Propane Supply Regularly this Winter

Even with scheduled delivery, Flynn Propane advises to check your propane
supply regularly. During a cold snap or a higher-than-normal usage period, your
propane levels could drop quickly. We recommend that you keep your tanks above
25%. When it gets to this level, it’s time to schedule a propane refill. By checking
your fuel tank on a regular basis, you’ll never be caught off guard and need to
call for an emergency delivery.

Upgrade to a Programmable Thermostat

With technology improving each year, there’s now programmable thermostats
that help you control heating while at the same time save you money. These
thermostats can save around 10% yearly on heating costs. With a programmable
thermostat, you can set the temperature lower when you and your family are
sleeping or away from your home. You can also program it to warm your home to a
more comfortable temperature before everyone returns.

Stay Safe and Warm

Flynn’s number one goal this winter season is to keep you warm. Our delivery
drivers will be busy making deliveries and we expect a rise in demand. Be sure
to reach out to us early so we can take care of your fuel needs before you run
out or run too low. We will do our best to accommodate your situation, but
please be patient and also keep your driveway clear for our drivers. If you
have any questions, feel free to reach out to us online at flynn-energy.com or
